We have recently been made aware of a company called MORGAN TAX COLLECTION OFFICEÂ that is trying to have clients provide personal details regarding payment of their outstanding Income Tax and Integrated Client Account balances.
After speaking with the ATO we have discovered that these people HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH THE AUSTRALIAN TAXATION OFFICE.
If you are contacted by them, please disregard any messages they may leave on your phone, or if you happen to answer their call please ensure you do not provide any of your personal details to them and let them know you will discuss the matter with your accountant.
Just so you are aware, if the ATO wish to speak with you in regards to an outstanding debt, they will do so in writing before calling you and would never request your credit card or bank account details over the phone or by email.
